COMMUNITY CHURCH
Our Pastor

Dr. Carolyn L. Strigglers, Ph.D.
Dr. Carolyn L. Strigglers has been active in ministry for over 35 years. She is the founder and pastor of The Finest of the Wheat Community Church, a growing church located in Southern California’s High Desert. Since its inception, The Finest of the Wheat has striven to be a benefit to the local community. Dr. Strigglers has expertly guided the congregation to work to fulfill its mission statement, namely “effecting change in the community through ministry and service.” To that end, the church has hosted monthly community breakfasts, homeless toiletries drives, nursing home care packages, back to school back-pack giveaways, and an annual Thanksgiving basket giveaway. The church has also sent financial aid to victims of natural disasters, as well as families affected by personal tragedies. The Finest of the Wheat prides itself on being a church that not only welcomes people from all walks of life, but treats them like family.
In addition to her role as senior Pastor of The Finest of the Wheat, Dr. Strigglers serves as a Suffragan Bishop of the Southern California District Council, a subsidiary of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW). Having been established in 1906 and currently boasting some 2 million members around the globe, the PAW is the oldest and second largest oneness Pentecostal organization in existence. In her role as Suffragan Bishop, Dr. Strigglers, inter alia, sits on the Executive Bishops Council and is a voting member of the Executive Board.
Not only is Dr. Strigglers a respected pastor and leader, but she is also a highly sought-after evangelist and noted scholar. She has, over her 35+ year career, ministered at countless churches and crusades both nationally and internationally. She is routinely called upon to teach biblical courses as well as conduct seminars and trainings. She holds three earned post undergraduate degrees, a Masters is Theology, a Masters in Biblical Counseling, and a Doctorate in theology. She has taught several courses, including Hebrew Grammar, at a number of institutions for higher learning.
It is important to note that Dr. Strigglers is very family centric. She not only stresses the importance of family and family values at the churches under her jurisdiction, but exemplifies it in her own family. She has been married to her husband, Jerry L Strigglers, Sr. for 50 years. This union produced 5 children, 1 son-in-law, and 2 grandchildren.
Dr. Strigglers is passionate about her work and ministry. She continues to give her all to further the gospel of Jesus Christ.
